Transition Years got to experience a careers talk with a twist yesterday as we brought back some past students, and also parent of students, to discuss their education and career path.
We welcomed:
  • Gemma Geary (past student) who is currently in 4th year in MIC studying to be a primary teacher.
  • Tom Burke (parent) an IT Director for Stryker. He bought two recent IT graduates with him-Alina Sabu and Dylan Buckley, who are are also doing a graduate programme in Stryker.
  • Deborah O’Flynn (past pupil). She is a physiotherapist and owns the local clinic in Mitchelstown – Revive Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.
Over the next few weeks TY’s will be making important decisions as they pick their subjects for the leaving cert.
We are so appreciative of all our guest speakers & hope that these presentations will guide them into making the correct choices for them and their future.
