We wish our wonderful TY’s the best of luck as they represent Coláiste Fionnchua in the annual Davis College Model UN in Cork City hall.
It is Ireland’s largest student run simulation of the UN General Assembly with each student representing a nation or NGO they have been assigned. This prestigious and competitive student activity develops the skills of diplomacy, negotiation, public speaking and quick-thinking.
Today they submitted resolutions to be debated and voted on over the next few days. These are based on issues such as ‘The question of protecting access to healthcare in areas of conflict’ and ‘The question of addiction prevention with special regard to gambling’.
