Congratulations to two of our very talented TY students, Ashling Malmstrom and Rugile Barulyte who will represent our school in this year’s BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. They will compete against 550 other entrants from across the island of Ireland for the coveted title “BT Young Scientist and Technologist of the Year”.
The girls have designed an app called My Health Saviour. The app will aid people with chronic illnesses and it will allow patients to get an accurate diagnosis faster. The app will have everything in one place, be user-friendly, and save the users precious time and energy. It will also help medical professionals to get a better overview of what their patient is dealing with on a regular basis; enabling them to give the correct diagnosis earlier. My Health Saviour will help users navigate through the many difficulties they have in their daily lives while also looking after their wellbeing.
Many thanks to Ms Áine McGrath & Ms Niamh Hegarty have who supported and nurtured the project from the concept stage to qualifying for the final.
We are very proud of Ashling and Rugile’s achievements.
