Coláiste Fionnchua took part in the regional final of the national CanSat competition in MTU Cork over the weekend. CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, built inside a empty soft drink can. Our team designed, built and tested a mini-satellite/CanSat. The competition gives students a feeling of excitement and technological achievement by launching their own satellite and gives them their first practical experience of a real space project.
Congratulations to Zac Darcy, Liam Vickers, Jared Van Der Berg, Harry Hartnett and their mentor Mr. Langley, who placed 2nd in the competition.
